Eede family of Bury, Sussex.

Richard EDE married Elizabeth CARTER  at Amberley on the 30th  Sept 1735.  Richard is described 'of Leominster'. Richard Eede's will of 14th August 1805 mentions the manor of Bury - copyhold and property in Bury and Angmering, and his 'in law', John Bunn. The will was proved at Chichester on 18th March 1806 at 'less than £2000'. Richard was buried on the 1st July 1781 at Amberley, Elizabeth on the 12th May 1762. Children of Richard and Elizabeth were:- Elizabeth, baptised 13th June 1736 at Lyminster. George, baptised 13th June 1736 at Lyminster. Richard  was baptised on the 3rd April 1738 at Amberley and  was apprenticed to Thomas CHATFIELD of Yapton, blacksmith.  He married at Houghton on the 25th June 1771 to   Mary BUNN and in 1785 was occupying land in Bury owned by his father-in-law, John BUNN, as well as his own land.  His will was proved at Chichester in 1806 (Chichester consistory 1806) He died on the 20th November 1805  age 67 from his MI at Bury. Mary, baptised on the 28th June 1741 at Amberley.  She married John UPPERTON on the 5th June 1774 at Amberley. .
